Thank you for visiting my Etsy shop. I’ve posted a few of my designs here for your pleasure. Most of my designs are based in mythology, folklore, and favorite fairytales. I’ve been telling my favorite stories in sterling silver and gold, using the lost wax casting process, for years. Last year I started working in glass and I am loving it.

My glass designs are made using a technique that is a new twist on the ancient art of Pate De Verre. I use powdered glass of different colors, mixed with an organic binder to make glass paste. Each color of glass paste is layered by hand into original molds made from my own hand carved wax designs. When each color is in place and the mold is full, it is frozen to allow the design to be removed from the mold safely. Once the design is removed, it is dried completely and the final details are added. The completed design is put into a kiln and fired to burn the binder away and fuse the powdered glass together. The design is then fired a second time to fuse it down to its custom glass background.
Each piece takes several hours to create (plus kiln time)and I make them all myself. I enjoy giving each one its own details and markings. Although I can create several pieces from the same mold, like brothers and sisters, they all come out different with their own character and personality, making each one a unique work of art.
As a special bonus- I sign each piece by embedding a piece of copper, stamped with my makers mark, into the back of each piece.
